ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Oh the places you’ll go

We decided to have a restful evening in after our rooftop shoot. Ordered Pizza from LA’s best De La Nonna and were quickly reminded why fate doesnt want us to make plans on this trip.

At abruptly 8AM we were awoken to the sounds of people drilling.......….directly behind our headboard.

Enraged, exhausted, we woke up.

Filmed our check in.

Packed our things.

Then we quickly escaped to the car.

We had time so we hit up our LA friends and were able to meet our mutual friend Petal for breakfast! While eating, we perused Airbnb and found a beautiful place to stay called The Castle House Estate located in Joshua Tree CA.

As the artsy little freaks we are, we desperately wanted to get there for a sunset shoot.

We bum rushed it back to the car, hugged Petal goodbye, then hit the road to Joshua tree.

Then promptly spent 3+ hours in rush our traffic (yaaay LA).

LETS GO

On the way we saw mountains with snow on them next to the desert landscapes of the eastern LA area. Apparently this is not uncommon.

But for us, it was magical.

Some things we learned about each other on the ride over:

-Danny doesn't drink out of straws

-Jack really likes pickled vegetables.

-Both Jack and Danny think they both know the best angles for recording landscpe video in a car (I'm not ashamed to admit it now but Danny might be better).

And no, we did not make it to the castle in time to shoot sunset.
